Periophthalmus, commonly known as mudskippers, are an amphibious specie often found in muddy environment. They can breath out of water through their skin and gills, and live in dug-out burrows in the mud. During mating season, the males will try to impress the females by doing pushups, leaping into the air and spreading their dorsal fins. An impressed female will go into the male’s burrow.
